Description

This young mercenary has a confident, soldierly bearing. She is below average height for a Hellsguard, but that still leaves easily a head taller than most hyur. She has a textbook Roegadyn physique—bulky, expansive shoulders, arms like cannons, a buxom bust on a powerful chest, sculpted abs, thick thighs, broad hips, and a caboose that would make a freight train wolf whistle.Kohl frames and accentuates Lily's striking golden eyes. Her wild and bright red hair has blue highlights. She keeps it tamed with fragrant floral oils and ties the bulk of it back in a tight, traditional braid, but a curtain of loose locks frames one side of her face. She has a single beauty mark just left of her bottom lip, and a simple tribal tattoo stretches from just below the impassive woman's left temple to the corner of her jawline.Lily often wears a subtle smirk, as if she is in on the grand cosmic joke. The lavender gloss that paints her lips makes them stand out against the ruddy hue of her warm skin. A hard life covered by heavy armor has kept that skin paradoxically soft and bright. Her voice is low and clear, with an obvious Farreach accent.

Personality

Lily is the definition of calm, cool, and collected. She is confident to a fault, and never raises her voice without cause. She comes by her youthful nihilism naturally; it's much more cavalier than jaded.Lily is serious and professional in her work as a mercenary. Her word is her bond, and she holds others to the same standard. When duty ends, she trades heavy armor for minimalist attire and sets out in search of a good time. She sees this pursuit as equally worthy and valuable as her mercenary contracts. If you're going to die anyway, you may as well spend your life living, not just existing.Those sensitive to such things will find Lily's Aether is strongly aligned to the element of Earth. It does not favor one polarity over the other; she is both the astral rockslide that destroys a warband and the umbral soil resting lightly on their graves.Lily likes intense conversations, smart people, sharp blades, whiskey older than she is, and heady, aromatic tobacco.

Biography

The mercenary known as Burning Lily showed up in Ul'dah shortly before her eighteenth birthday with a mark of exile on her left cheek and a chip on her massive shoulder. Over the next several months, she gained a small but solid reputation as a competent, dedicated sellsword with no aversion to distasteful work. Eventually, her talent for slaying voidsent earned the attention of a well-connected fixer named Lirriane Guipesuste.After a month locked in a coercive contract with Lirriane, Lily joined the Ebonheart Company. She moved to live at the Manse in Limsa Lominsa. Through her mercenary work for the Company, the Hellsguard found the Ashen Ronin, a Gridanian free company. The Ronin's focus on combating voidsent in Eorzea was a natural fit for Lily's skills. A year after coming to Limsa Lominsa, Lily left the Ebonheart Company to join the Ashen Ronin as a full member.Rounding out her travels throughout Eorzea, Lily recently took over ownership of a small smithy in Ishgard's Empyream district. From there, she and her small staff take on contracts with the Skybuilders and sell arms and armor to the adventurers who call Ishgard home.
